Advocacy plays a critical role in shaping packaging policy, and effective engagement starts with the right foundation. This member-exclusive webinar is designed to prepare AMERIPEN members for engaging on Capitol Hill, particularly those participating in Hill Day at the 2026 Annual Summit.
Led by Shannon Campagna, President of Portfolio Strategies LLC, the session will provide a practical introduction to the federal policy landscape, how to communicate effectively with lawmakers, and what to expect when advocating on Capitol Hill, along with an overview of the tools that AMERIPEN is using for Hill Day 2026.
With more than 30 years of federal policy and advocacy experience, Shannon has led government affairs functions for major organizations including Safeway and Mars and is known for helping organizations navigate complex policy environments and engage with policymakers effectively.
This session serves as both a key preparatory step for Hill Day participants and an accessible starting point for members looking to build confidence in advocacy.
