Presenters:

Andy Hackman

A multi-state lobbyist that works to achieve success for clients at the legislative, executive, and regulatory levels across the country on a diverse set of issues. Mr. Hackman is a registered federal lobbyist who has testified before the U.S. Senate and lobbied in over 25 state capitols. Prior to joining Serlin Haley, he served as Vice President of Government Affairs for the Toy Industry Association, where he oversaw TIA's advocacy programs at both the state and federal levels. Mr. Hackman has also directed the state government affairs program of the Consumer Specialty Products Association. Mr. Hackman received a Bachelors of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs in Bloomington, Indiana and a Masters of Business Administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Lauren Aguilar

Lauren is an expert in policy and strategy following six years working for the California legislature. She most recently served as Capitol director for Assembly member Phillip Chen (R-55), a deputy whip, where she was directly involved with several bills that ultimately were signed into law. As a staffer in both the Assembly and the Senate, Lauren worked with the Utilities and Energy, Environmental Safety and Toxics, Banking and Finance, and Business and Professions Committees. She dealt with government, business, advocate and labor stakeholders while building key relationships on both sides of the aisle. Lauren has worked closely with local municipalities and counties, the CA Council for Environmental and Economic Balance (CCEEB), the CA Grocers Association, CAL Chamber, CA Building Industry Association, CA Bankers Association and several others.

Greg Melkonian

As Regulatory Government Affairs Associate at Serlin Haley, Greg is a consultant for AMERIPEN. He will be leading the work that is reported on through the monthly regulatory call and weekly regulatory email updates. While Greg will be present on AMERIPEN calls, communications to the membership about his regulatory work will come through AMERIPEN staff. Additionally, requests concerning Greg’s regulatory work on behalf of AMERIPEN or for assistance on regulatory issues must go through Dan Felton or Rob Keith to ensure that such requests are within the scope of AMERIPEN’s contract with Serlin Haley.
